Hi, I'm also having some audio issues. I recently upgraded from v3.0 (I know, old as heck) to see if the DirectX crashes were resolved. So far, everything runs very smoothly without any crashes so a great job in that regard. However, I get the aforementioned audio issues with the nightly builds. Settings are pretty much default, just some resolution changes (1920x1080 fullscreen display resolution, force 16:9, 2x internal resolution). As I'm on an ATI card, and from what I garnered from this thread, I should be sticking to DX11. DSP is set to HLE, using XAudio2 backend. My CPU is overclocked to 4.2GHz. Let me know if I can try anything else to resolve this issue, thanks.

I have a really weird issue right here... I upgraded to Dolphin 4.0 x64. I'm using an unofficial build at the moment, I might try the official build, but while it runs at full speed, models disappear, and some go out of place. I have some screenshots if that helps.

I can also confirm that the latest build of dolphin has broken f-zero gx. The rotating map on the selection screen is off the top and when in race most of the cars are missing and the surrounding objects etc only appear when you are very close to them.

Thanks for the MMU hint. That has solved the issues with the track and rotating map. Unfortunately something else has changed because my FPS has tanked. Was getting 60 Fps dropping to 50 fps every now and then with the previous version of Dolphin but the 4.0-112 version has changed something... Enabling dual core doesn't seem to have any affect anymore. I get the same fps with it on or off.
I will keep messing with the settings. 10-05-2013, 03:39 AM
Update:
3.5-2437 gives 60fps with no issues. 4.0-112 gives 60fps without MMU enabled but the track is broken 4.0-112 gives ~32fps with MMU enabled If I get chance I will try to narrow down to which version broke it. 10-05-2013, 09:54 PM
Sadly the latest master (4.0-137) hasn't fixed it on my machine.
I have spent the morning back tracking over previous versions to find the exact point of the problem. The MMU / speed issues occur with build 4.0-79 "Fastmem writes for x86-64." Thanks
Man, it's tricky to get this game working properly.
I tried 3.5 r430, 3.5 r2437, 4.0 and 4.0 r178 now and always, there is a problem, either one or even several of those: 1) The shadow-bug 2) dual-core-mode won't work without crashes 3) V-Sync and/or frame limit won't work without crashes 4) generally slow speed at around only 30 fps in GP Mode when DC is disabled or EFB-Copies to RAM No matter what revision i try or if i enable/disable dualcore/vsync/efb copies to texture/MMU Speed hack and so on, i cannot get it to work at full speed without any of these problems. What are the exact settings and revision i need to be able to play it at 60fps and not more (!) or less fps, without crashes? Got an i7-3770k, a Geforce Titan and 8GB RAM. Oh, and yes, Captain Falcon is definitely gay! |
