The game was working before I upgraded my GPU to a 650. Now, it works up until I get into a race then crashes within secs after the count down.
Before I upgraded my GPU I had the same problem however, when I disabled V-Sync and/or dual-core it would work. Now no matter what settings I choose, it always crashes. I am using OPEN-GL with the lastest git-release ( every time I have a problem, I update to lastest source and start troubleshooting from there ). I posted on the orignal thread, but it has since been closed.

I had no crashes with Dual Core enabled so far (okay, didn't tried F-Zero GX on Dolphin 3.5 yet
![]() I suggest u to use the official Dolphin 3.5 release and the Direct3D9/11 backend (yeah, you'll have some graphical glitches...) ![]() 01-14-2013, 12:52 PM
Hi,
For me this game runs fine (PAL version) in Dolphin for everything except one of the missions. In mission 03, about 4 seconds after the start of the race it freezes up and I have to stop Dolphin.exe. Does anybody else have this, or might I have a bad iso? I'm unable to test this by making a new iso since I'm studying abroad and only brought the iso. Obviously Í'm not gonna carry GC discs around the world.. ![]() ![]() I hope somebody knows a solution because I really liked the missions as they are quite challenging. Thanks! 01-14-2013, 01:06 PM
Well dolphin DOES have the ability to check if your dump is correct, but it only works on wii games afaik, what you can do is check the md5 hash and see if that's right (you'll have to do some searching to find out)

Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at that.
I tried to play it in the x64 version of Dolphin just now, (I normally play in x86 because the sound in x64 is glitchy) and I managed to get a bit further than 4 seconds in the race (about 25 or so). Could this still be an issue of a bad dumb even if the time it freezes is so different? I set my graphic rendering to 1x native, turned off dual core mode and I was able to finish the mission 03 without it freezing. Hope that was the only mission where it had the issue ![]() 01-15-2013, 01:24 AM
Yeah, dual core would be the problem XD, you can feel safe in raising the IR again :p

F-ZeroGX crashes for me during the race with Dual Core enabled. It didn't do this before in versions prior to 3.5. If I disable dual core, my framerates drop significantly to somewhere between 25 and 35 fps. Furthermore, the sound skips terribly in both LLE and HLE modes. HLE allows the game to run faster but at the cost of more sound skipping. I had zero sound issues in dolphin revisions prior to 3.5. Can you guys make any suggestions as to what I can do in the meantime to boost my framerate while running the game with dual core disabled? If not, can you shed some light on how I may be able to run the game with dual core enabled but without it crashing, starting over, etc? Is there any ETA you can share with us as to when the dual core issue will be addressed. I really don't want to go back to revisions prior to 3.5 because now my steering wheel works beautifully in F-Zero GX(thank you devs). It still can crash sometimes but using quick saves after each race isn't much of a problem, right ? It runs for me at 70-100% speed with single core and at runs like a horse after a hornet's bite with dual core. That's the thing. They broke dual core with these latest builds, and now the crashing is back ![]() Dolphin developers please please ****PLEASE**** I am begging you! Please try and fix the dual core issue with F-Zero GX. Steering wheel support is borked in prior versions of Dolphin so I can't use those anymore. This newer version is great except for the dual core issue. Please for the love God please fix the dual core issues ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 02-04-2013, 10:34 PM
