Try using a new-ax-hle build: they are experimental but should work pretty well with most GC games now: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/new-ax-hle/1/

Thanks delroth, I'm using 3.0-852 x64 now. There were lots of audio stutters at first but changing Framelimit from Auto to Audio solved this. No loss of sound in cutscenes so far using DSP HLE. I intend to play through the entire game so I'll post here if I discover anything else. Hopefully I'll be able to say that I completed the game with no issues.

I completed the game a long time ago with r6000, I'd be interested to hear how it goes with recent versions.

Hello everyone.
I have a audio issues (static noises on Po's quote and during gameplay) and i can't fix it. I tried many versions of Dolphin (even r7167), various audio backends, tried switch HLE/LLE and nothing helps. Can anybody help me? i5-3450 3.5 GHz / AMD HD7850 1 Gb / 8 Gb RAM / Win8 x64
Use a more recent build than r7167 (it's more than 2 years old).
And you shouldn't get any issue with LLE

Well if your only issue is the intro I guess you should deal with it. Sound will work fine in-game (with LLE at least, I haven't tried yet with new AX-HLE)

Specifically, the audio tracks have been removed from the disc image. Re-rip and use a full disc dump of this game to fix the problem. 05-20-2013, 04:31 PM

I've been playing this on the latest 3.5 x86 version of Dolphin, for the most part the game runs surprisingly well, looks very nice with minimal slowdowns and the sound is pretty great, however I've been having some issues which I WAS ignoring as they were minor, but one finally stopped progress, there are alot of glitches at the beginnings and ends of chapters, and when the filter effect turns on as you teleport to the Hall of the ED Tome, annoying but it didn't stop my progress, Anthony had a missing sky outside the cathedral on his chapter, which was odd, but tolerable and also most usable/equippable items in the inventory are invisible until highlighted (But everything else about the Menus work fine)
Now, I was playing Max Roivas's chapter and after grabbing the 4th Letter behind a table thing near the stained glass window which tells you to go to the basement, the moment I go through the doors to get back the main part of the house on the first floor, the screen goes black and sometimes glitches up showing part of the Nintendo logo, but the game continues playing, button prompts etc. to look at stuff comes up like normal, all the menu's seem to work, except you cannot see a damn thing, I had this same issue during Alex's dream at the very beginning, but since it automatically ends eventually, I didn't really think much of it as everything after worked fine. I'm guessing the black screened parts have something to do with screen filters, or I'm not really sure, I've played around with various settings that either made things worse or exactly the same, apparently not everyone had this issue so I wonder what I haven't been seeing (I've been using the Zelda hack that fixes black backgrounds in Menu's) So if anyone knows what this sounds like, I'd very much appreciate figuring it out.
