GC controller not wokring in 5.0

I've been using 4.0.2 for the past year and have had nothing wrong with my gamecube controller. I am using the 2 port mayflash adapter but as soon as I updated to 5.0 dolphin stopped recognizing my controller. The controller stick and c-stick sections do not come up red and I have my port one selected as standard controller. in 4.0.2 the controller came up as SDL/0/USB GamePad but in 5.0 it does not give me that option and if I default to my set profile it does not show up either. I have reverted to 4.0.2 and it has worked fine. the options it does give me "DInput/0/USB GamePad" does not recognize it either.
