GC controller not operating correctly, Please Help!!

Whenever I try to use my GC controller (official Wii U adapter released with smash Wii U) and whenever i click the button to check to see if an adapter was detected it says, "Error Opening Adapter: Access denied (insufficient Permissions) I have installed the easy installation but when I tried to do the other one it says there is no application to open it with. I just want to play my games please help.
