GC controller D-pad not detected

Hello everyone, I recently bought a mayflash 4 port Gamecube controller adapter to PC/Wii u, and set it up with dolphin 5.0.  After it didn't recognize my Gamecube controller in any of the 4 slots, I looked for a solution and found out I had to change the adapter to "Wii U" mode and download "zadig" to get dolphin to recognize the controllers.  After doing so, Dolphin recognized the GC controllers, and also worked in-game as well.
The problem I encountered soon after starting up dolphin, was that it didn't detect the GC controller d-pad input. I've tried searching for an answer, but so far all I've found is to use xpadder, which costs $10, and only 1 person said to use it.
Going without the d-pad isn't exactly game breaking, at least not the few I play, but it would be nice to be able to use the full functionality of the GC controller.
I'm currently using a mayflash 4-port GC to PC/Wii U adapter, a standard GC controller from my original system, windows 10 pro x64, i5 3470 @3.8ghz, Mushkin 2x4GB 1600mhz ram, AMD r9 380 2GB, and Dolphin 5.0.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and if I'm missing some info, or went against the guidelines in any way, please let me know.

Thanks, David.

Thanks! I just had to change it from the "GameCube Adapter For Wii U" option to "standard controller", and then switched the adapter itself to pc mode.
