Hey guys,

Sorry for the fact that my first post has to be one that's asking such a repetitive question, but I can't seem to find the answer to my issue on any forums. I am going to try and keep the post brief, so let me know if you need any more information.

Background: I have used this adapter in the past on my laptop and with an earlier build of dolphin with no real issues. I remember having some problems with Dolphin recognizing that the device was plugged in (SDL/1/USB GamePad appears in the 'device' drop down menu) but no button presses were detected. I found out that I would have to plug in the controller to the adapter after opening up dolphin and that would get it to work properly.

Issue: I have just installed dolphin on a new computer I built around a month ago. It is running Windows 7 x64 and I have just installed the most recent version of dolphin (4.0-3789). After installing the drivers for the GameCube controller adapter, I calibrated the controller using the driver's calibration tool and proceeded to run the dolphin emulator. After opening up the GCPad configuration menu, I noticed that the controller appeared in the device drop-down menu as expected. However, after selecting the SDL/1/USB GamePad and/or SDL/0/USB GamePad devices, nothing happened. No button presses were/are being registered even after resetting all of the button inputs and trying to input new ones.

I have re-installed the drivers for the adapter twice no to no avail. Hopefully you guys can help me out with this one. Thanks!

Since your talking about SDL I'm guessing this is a MAC or Linux system? Also just to confirm when you press the button action to assign a game pad button you are saying nothing is registered at all?

Also it helps to include the adapter and the exact OS version, as well as the Dolphin version(not everyone uses the latest).

Hey Ulao,

The operating system I am using is Windows 7 64-bit. I am using the latest version of Dolphin, or 4.0-4071. Interestingly enough, this problem does not occur on some of the netplay specific versions of Dolphin. Here is a screenshot of the GC Pad Controller settings menu. As you can see, Dolphin detects that I have a controller plugged in, but it does not register any button inputs.

I am at a lost for what to do at this point. All of my drivers are up to date and the adapter is fully functional. Any experts out there have any ideas? Thanks again for your patience & time.

I have not heard of an SDL only driver for a windows adapter , what kind of adapter is this? Are there any direct input drivers in the drop down?

Did you just get ban after making this post?

All I know is that SDL is trouble some and you should use the direct input drivers. If they dont show up email mayflash and ask them how to use the device as a direct input device. Should them the screen shot.
