[GC] Baten Kaitos Problem: Scrambled Menu Background

Hello everyone!

I have actually gotten the game to work nearly perfectly for me. The only problem I have is that after battle, all the menu screen backgrounds get scrambled up.

I have prepared screenshots to illustrate my problem:

The only way I found to fix this, is to restart the emulator. It then occurs again after the next battle.

I am using the stable 2.0 release of the 64 bit version of the emulator, as presented in the download section of the dolphin website.

I have taken screenshots of some of the config menus that might be of interest. If there is any information missing I will provide it upon request. Here are the screens that I have taken so far:

I don't know what most of that stuff does but I noticed one thing: The problem doesn't seem to occur when I go to the advanced graphics settings and set "enable EFP copy - to RAM". However, once I do this and go to the "Use Magnus" screen ingame, after a while I get some kind of write error or something. I am not sure though if that is the only place where it happens ingame. It's just where I encountered it (twice) so far.

So.. Is there a way to fix this?

use the latest official svn http://www.dolphin-emu.org/ (r6218) if you're wary of the optimized svn's from others

i have that same minor glitch. don't know if the latest svn fixed it, official or optimized, as the last time i played it i was on r6198 x64 sse4.1 (just opened it up to right now to see if i had the same issue)

looking at your settings and the fact you're using the original 2.0, how are your speeds and fps?

FPS count is nearly constantly at 30, sometimes higher (in menus).

I just tried it again and I noticed that with this setting after a battle when I open the menu I can see the "final attack scene" of that battle overlaying the background transparently. Is this supposed to be like that? And even with the newest build, the game freezes after a while if I use this setting. And as well, using the other setting keeps the game from freezing but messes up the background.

Does anyone know of a good build where this does not happen?

don't use efb copy - to ram, kaitos doesn't improve with it
