(GC) Animal Crossing

In animal crossing when i'm trying to type in my name or city it only lets me type halfway Unable to write anymore. I even went as far as having to Restart Dolphin because, after trying to go back and retype it wouldn't. Not even sure what is causing this running Revision 6676.

My computer is more than capable of running Dolphin:

AMD Tri Core running at 2-3 ghz
5 GB of ram
xfx alpha dog 8800gt 512mb oldie but goodie

regardless of how the entry area looks...Animal Crossing doesn't support very long names (I want to say 10 characters max - I don't currently have access to my gamecube)
