So I'm playing this game in Dolphin version 5.0-530 and the game hard crashes every single time a cutscene plays out without fail. You can pseudo get past this by waiting for the cutscene to end and to regain control for a few seconds before the crash and then saving the game. When you come out of the start menu, the game will still crash, but your progress will be saved the next time you load the game and you can continue to make progress. The crash is probably due to the game checking a progress flag after the cutscene which is why the cutscene itself does not cause the game to crash but rather 10 or so seconds after the crash, although if you try to skip the cutscene it will crash the game immediately. Have not yet found a configuration setting to help with this and because of the nature of the crash I am inclined to believe that configuration settings won't help but I could be totally wrong. Also some slowdowns in some areas but I have no idea if that's my hardware or not, my rig is kinda old so it's possible.

Hardware specs:

Operating System: Windows 7
Processor/CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 @3.4 GHz
Video Card/GPU: GeForce GTx 760
Memory/RAM: 16 GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance Black
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 5.0-530 x64

Can you tell me how far this is into the game? I tried to reproduce this a long time ago but never ran into the issue.

Any mission with a cinematic does it for me. In movie lot, grind the cliff edge/grind the chains and the graveyard score mission for instance.

I've experienced the same issue as JohnXuandou when playing this game in Dolphin 5.0 stable. Specifically when in the Movie Lot level if I grind the chains to release the boulder or complete the timed run to grow the tree I will immediately hard crash the game. In the Civic Center level if I grind across the angel's wings or handplant on the gargoyles it will also hard crash the game.

Another issue I seem to be having is... An odd one. For a while the game itself will play fine. If I avoid the hard crashes caused by objective cutscenes everything works normally. But after a while, sometimes as short as thirty seconds, sometimes as long as two or three minutes, the game will begin to stutter quite badly. The framerate counter says the game is running at 43-45 FPS, but it's actually down to between 7-13 and can drop lower the longer it goes on. Pausing the game by pressing Start seems to negate it, and once I've exited from the pause menu the game will run fine for another minute or so before the stuttering starts again.

I have done testing on another game I know made by the same dev team that runs the same engine, BMX XXX (don't judge, it's the only other game with the same architecture) and it suffers the same stuttering issue. I believe it has to be something with memory, because as soon as either game is paused it returns to normal. I can provide video footage of the stuttering in action with all the data handlers on screen if necessary. I've tried messing with just about every option in Dolphin, but none of them seem to stop the stuttering issue. It's making the game unplayable because things like handplants are based on frame, not on user input.

My specs and settings are as follows:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core i5 4430 3.00GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
16GB of RAM
Dolphin 5.0 Stable

Enable Dual Core is on
Enable Idle Skipping is on
JIT Recompiler
DSP HLE
Direct 3D 11 (also have tried OpenGL to no avail)
V-Sync Off
Scaled EFV Copy off
Per Pixel Lighting off
Force Texture Filtering on
Widescreen Hack off
Disable Fog on

Skip EFB Access on
Ignore Format Changes off
Store EFB Copies on
Texture Cache is set to Fast
XFB is off
Fast Depth Calculation os off
Disable Bounding Box is off

I am facing the same problem than VulpesHilarianus and JohnXuandou regarding Aggressive Inline : game freezes after any cinematic. Pressing the start button to save will only make it crash faster.

This is a known issue and there is no fix right now (other than using an old version of Dolphin where the music playback is broken).
