GC Adapter Problems

I have installed all the correct things for a GC Controller adapter to work but there is one issue.
Before starting up a game, the controller configuration says "Adapter Detected." After starting a game, the config says "Adapter Not Detected."

Is this a bug?

I might not be much help here but i'll give it a shot. Which adapter are you using? It seems not all of them will work, for example it seems the Nyko adapter does not work. Also what version of Dolphin are you running?
