Which game? And what exactly is not working in the game?
Which dolphin version? Show a screenshot of your gamepad configuration within Dolphin. 04-05-2019, 07:30 AM

I've tried 6 different games, it will let me back out of the game and navigate to choose a new game but won't let me use the controller while playing. I configured the controllers, setting them to each button. I've toggled off the controls in the dolphin settings, however it still won't work. I couldn't find any videos on setting this up with my particular controller, well I did but they weren't helpful. The one that seemed the most useful was actually in spanish. I followed as best as i could and tried translating to see if I missed anything. Not sure on this fourms policy on links, but this is what the videos titled on youtube " Tutorial configurar Gamepad en Emulador Dolphin (Wii + GameCube) " Thanks for the quick response, heres a picture of my configuration. I followed the guy in that video on setting up the controls. Did the same exact setup he shows. Dropp3dquick 04-05-2019, 08:06 AM

I have the same one but the S version with a dongle to play on PC aswell, just update dolphin to the latest version, tap on the dots on the upper right, go to GameCube input, map your controls as you want and you are ready to go, on the game settings when you hold leave it disable as default unless you want different map for this specific game. 04-05-2019, 01:16 PM
Unfortunately this is what ive tried. I have the most recent version of dolphin, and mapped my controls. I select GameCube Input go to Emulated and mapped it out, I also tried on GameCube Adapter just to see if it would work. Tried disabling all four, not sure what the issue could be. Not sure what you ment at the end " on the game settings when you hold leave it disable as default unless you want different map for this specific game. " maybe thats the solution but i don't understand and havent figured it out yet.

When you hold the finger on a game there are GameCube settings aswell to configure that specific game, you need to leave it disabled as default in order to use the ones from the general settings you mapped before because if you enable them and don't map those again they are empty, that's probably your problem, if dosent work try to do a clean install, uninstall, delete folder and reinstall. Make a backup of your saves, just move wii, gc, and state saves folders anywhere. 04-06-2019, 10:58 AM
Thank you very much, that solved it. I appreciate your patience and understanding!
Destroyer5150 Never was a fan of book work. I prefer learning from trial and error or others, especially with something like this. Point taken though, next time I will look to the FAQs if I can't figure it out myself. |
