Games won't play after being played on netplay

My brother and I played Melee for the first time over NetPlay (using a Traversal Server). Game started, his controller wasn't working, so we closed out of the game to fix the problem. We figured out what went wrong and tried to play again. As soon as the game is started, dolphin throws him an error quits on him. He tries to play it by himself (not using NetPlay) and it dies on him. We try it again with a different game. It starts up, no problems. But once again, after closing the game he can't play it at all. Even trying to play the game from a different backup won't work. He used the built in Windows uninstaller to delete Dolphin and then reinstalled. Still those games won't play.

We are both using Dolphin 5.0 Stable. There are no problems when he plays games by himself until playing it through NetPlay.

Any suggestions on what to do to allow those games to play and not have the these problems happen again?

Have you both tried the latest development versions? What is his computer specs?

His computer is an Acer laptop (I'm waiting for him to tell me more), we had tried another dolphin version and the games still cause it to crash.
