No More Heroes on the Wii has a cut-scene that features a VHS fast-forward effect. Dolphin isn't exactly happy about everything going 2x times the speed, and it sends out an error pop-up message as soon as the effect starts, which tends to crash the program. Turning off "Use Panic Handlers" fixes the problem and the scene plays out normally.

It takes a long while to get to that point in-game, so I added a save that loads right before the cutscene in case anyone wants to mess with it.

I just wanted to chime in on that No More Heroes "VHS fast forward" effect crash I submitted a few months ago, since no one could really get a straight answer in the thread. I tried replaying the scene in Dolphin 5.0 with panic handlers on, and while still it still incorrectly brings up a window stating that the GPU desynced, the emulator no longer crashes from it.  So at least that part's fixed  Tongue

That means when panic handlers are disabled you can normally play and there's no crash?

New to this forum, and new to the Dolphin system.

Trying to run Star Wars the Clone Wars for Gamecube and keep getting the "IntCPU: Unknown Instruction....." error. I don't want to mess with the Dolphin emulator settings as they are running everything else beautifully (version 5.0). I've messed with the ROM properties and tried to enable MMU with now good result.

How can I make this game run on my system?

That game will not work on any currently released stable or development build. (Well, actually... I can't remember if it works if you use the interpreter. But if it does, it would be unplayably slow anyway.) This is fixed in PR 4146 (or PR 1882), which hopefully will be merged into the development builds soon, but there's no ETA. If you want to run the game now, you can download http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/pr-4146-dolphin-latest-x64.7z, but keep in mind that that build isn't completely finished yet.

Yeah, with panic handlers turned off dolphin plays smoothly and you wouldn't even notice a difference.
But, if you do have them on, Dolphin no longer crashes outright when the "gpu desync" error pops up.

Jos,

Great info and thank you for the reply. I felt like I was going crazy. I'll wait, but I truly hope it can be fixed. Although kind of a crappy game to begin with, I did enjoy it!

The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer has been crashing for a while now. I'd add it to the main post. Crashes on 5.0-705 and 5.0-1107.

So it has worked at some point, yeah? Because if not it might just be a bad dump on your side or something like that.
