I've just got Dolphin today, and I was wondering about games that you can still play online on the Wii, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (Reflex). Is there a way to play online through the existing servers? (I believe these are the Activision servers; hence why they are still online)

If the servers are still online, you can play on them, but you'll need to import the NAND of a real console in order to get a valid identity (Dolphin's default identity has been banned due to abuse), and you'll also need to extract certificate files from the NAND. (If you're using a recent development version of Dolphin, Tools > Import BootMii NAND Backup will automatically extract the certificate files for you after importing the NAND. If you've already imported the NAND, you can use Tools > Extract Certificates from NAND.)

So, I've got a softmodded vWii, with a cIOS installed, and I performed an IOS dump to NAND before installing the cIOS. Can I use the dumped files for this? 04-14-2018, 03:25 AM
You need the NAND from a real wii. Not a Wii U's implementation of the Wii software. There are some differences from vWii and a real wii that Dolphin won't work with.

While using your vWii NAND in Dolphin isn't recommended and may cause strange issues because of some system titles having been modified to work with Wii U hardware, you can still use online services using your vWii's identity after you convert the vWii OTP/SEEPROM dump format to the Wii's.
