Hi, I have a nVIDIA GT 755M 2GDDR5, i7.4700MQ 2'4GHz and 3'4GHz with Turboboost, 8GB of RAM and Windows 8.1. I've set Dolphin to use the nVIDIA card, no Intel. When I start a game, it runs speeded up and the sound is bad quality and laggy. What should I do?
Games run faster than normal and sound laggy and distorted

You know, you didn't have to make another thread, your other one was just fine. Anyway, what speed exactly are your games running at? Run Dolphin in windowed mode (not fullscreen) then look at the bottom; you should see a % indicating game speed. If it's less than 100%, your hardware is having trouble running the games at fullspeed, in which case the audio will stutter. If you're running the game greater than 100%, try adjusting your Framelimit options (Auto or is a good choice, and you might want to check Limit by FPS).
If you're getting less than 100%, turn off all anti-aliasing, and set your Internal Resolution to 1x. If you still get less than 100%, this means your GPU (either the Intel one or the Nvidia one) is not the issue, at least for the games you listed in your other thread. Instead, this would mean you have a CPU bottleneck. |
