Make sure your system isn't overheating. If your temps are too high, that can cause problems (although usually it's the entire system that freezes up).
Also, try running Dolphin with the Task Manager open. See if it's consuming too much memory or something. This shouldn't happen with 5.0, but something else might be triggering it (bad drivers?).
Out of curiosity, does the latest revisions still exhibit this problem? What happens when you use something newer than 5.0, like this one?
