Games Freeze on Frame 1?

Update and bump:

The game freezes stop when I disable "Enable Other Audio (Throttle)" and enable frame limiting, but of course this is not ideal. Is there some setting incompatibility? In addition, the text is all garbled (in every game). I'm so confused.
