For inputs that are to be controlled by keyboard/mouse, right-click the buttons and set the device+input in the dialog that appears.
It does work.
I have tried that and it just wont work. I am able to right click to map the mouse buttons, and I select DInput/0/Keyboard mouse and press the detect button. It detects the buttons OK and finds it on the list, but then I try to press OK or apply it says "Bound controls: 0, device not found."

It really isn't a big deal since 3.5 works fine, would just be nice to be on 4.0.2, that's all.
