Gamepad enabled--only keyboard works

I have a Logitech Wireless F710 gamepad. It worked in a previous build (I can't recall because it was so long ago when I got it), but there was a shader problem with Animal Crossing, so I dumped that build and went for the newest one in the downloads section on the site (version 3.0-201). I put my gamepad as my primary controller, controller 1, in the GCPad configuration section, but it's not doing anything. However, the keyboard controls still seem to be functioning. Any idea for the reason behind this?

Thanks for any advice!

PS - Yes, it is definitely plugged in, has good batteries, is getting signal, etc. It worked on a previous build and I didn't do anything in particular but now it doesn't seem to want to.

Windows 7, 32 bit. And the original Animal Crossing for Gamecube.

Just tried it with the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. Same thing. Gamepad not doing anything, but the keyboard works.

Did you even configure the controls for your gamepad..?
Show a screenshot of your GCPad dialog. :/

I didn't because I didn't have to configure it last time. It just detected it and everything was correct. But now that I've updated it doesn't.

I've figured it out though and feel just a bit like a dunce. I did try to configure it earlier, but it didn't even detect my controller's input, even though it seemed to know it was there: one of the options was Wireless Rumble F710.

But I've figured it out, and feel like a bit of a dunce for not trying it before. I came back to the configuration settings, and instead of selecting my controller from the drop-down, I selected X-Input, and it immediately recognized that I was pressing buttons on the controller. It seems to work fine now! Thanks for making me take a look at that again! If I can make sure all the graphics and resolutions are straight now, everything will be beyond perfect. Thanks again!
