Gamecube on screen controller configuration

Hello, I would like to use the on screen controls for the gamecube games but it still seems like updates going back to 4.0 are incompatible with configuring the gamecube controller. Is this something that will be changed soon? I understand that I can use an older version and update it but I am still missing the C stick necessary for some games and the d-pad. Plus I would like to reconfigure between games.

I've been searching for an answer but all I saw was that most people would rather play the wii games, so anything gc related is on a backburner as far as updates go. All I wanted to do was play some gamecube games ???

The on-screen controls do work for GameCube games, and it is possible to configure them. Or are you having the issue where you can't pull down the in-game menu that lets you configure the on-screen controls?

You are correct. I configured them in a prior version of dolphin and updated to a more recent version. So you are saying the settings to configure and change layout of the controls are now in game? I have been trying to do it from the dolphins main menu like you would in older versions. Still without having the C-stick and D-pad, some of my games are not compatible. I'm quite new to using dolphin so it's possible I am just using it all wrong.

They are in a menu that you only can access while a game is running, yes. Pull down from the top of the screen to make it show up.

Hi JosJuice, I am currently having this issue. I can't bring down the in-game menu to configure the controls. The only way I am able to do this is by using my 8bitdo controller, but that is not always something I have handy.   Huh

Idk what it could be. It was happening to me until I locked the navigation bar. Now it works fine. I dont know why or if it had something to do with my navigation bar on my phone. It didnt make sense to me but try locking it, if you have a nav bar that disappears on your phone.
