gamecube keys not working

Question
I can't use any of the keys in any of my Gamecube games following my downloading the latest version of Dolphin. This is disappointing, considering this release fixed an issue with Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life where the text wasn't showing up and a lot of textures were distorted, but now I can't play that game or any other games! Angry

Can anyone tell me how I might fix this?

Did u set Port 1 to "Standard Controller"? (Config -> GameCube). Did u map the buttons for your keyboard/controller correctly?

btw: Wrong forum Wink A moderator will move this thread into the correct forum.

Well, all of the keys are mapped to their default settings, but I can't change it because the device drop down menu is always selected, so when I try to map a button to a different key it just types that letter in the drop down menu. I just set Port 1 to "Standard Controller", I didn't know I had to do that.

Setting Port 1 to "Standard Controller" fixed the issue, thank you Smile

You have to click the .. button to get it in wait for input mode.

Glad it works now!

I'm not sure what you mean there. I click on the button that shows what key each button on the gamepad is mapped to, but when it says that it's waiting for input and I try to input a key, it instead types that key in the drop down menu where you choose the device you're using.

that is a bit od? Well you can specify the key manually yes? I think you need to right click on it to do that( I forget atm).

It's not letting me right click on it either! Huh
I'm on a Mac laptop, if that helps.

I'm mac stupid... IMO, being you are on a mac, explained it all. I think you are stuck with SDL. Long shot here but I think its cntrl click for right click. though I dont know for sure.
