Gamecube Controllers

I assume they made a third party gamecube controller for the pc. Will those controllers work with a gamecube game in Dolphin, or do I need a Nintendo released gamecube controller with a USB adapter?

Side Note: IR scanning bar for wii, what is a good IR scanning bar to purchase?

The best PC solution I have seen here is using an xbox 360 as it does work on a computer. There are a lot of adapters out there to pic from, I even make and sell an adapter ( see sig ). Personally I like using the OME + usb adapter but a lot of people around here use the 360 and like it.

If you have an XBox it's the best choice, as you don't have to hack anything (which you do with a ps3 controller), it has analogue triggers, a wireless adapter to connect it to a PC costs the same as a cheap (but functional) wired gamepad, and Windows supports it brilliantly: for other games, such as Skyrim, it's just plug and play. If you have one, it's the best choice. If you don't, it's still a pretty good choice.
