Hello 
I have been using the dolphin emulator for the past month and enjoyed the benefit of the recent compatibility that Dolphin has for the Wii U adapter. I have had no issues in detection or compatibility with the official controllers for GameCube games that are being emulated.
My question is to any members of the community: Is it possible to use these controllers with Wii emulations?

There is not anything referencing this compatibility, and if manual configuration is attempted, the gamecube controller input does not register in the "Emulator Wiimote" settings.

I have seen that many users have used Xbox 360 or GamePad controllers for the emulation, but they are able to select a different device other than "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse".
Any help would be deeply appreciated! If it is not possible I believe it would be a great capability Dolphin could utilize to truly re-live the older Wii games with the nostalgic controller. Thank-you for taking your time to read this!
