GameCube Controller

I have an adapter for my controller to plug into my phone; I can press A on the controller to open apps but it is unresponsive when I try to use it on any game in dolphin. It's a usb controller and I have a usb to usb-c converter for my s9. I use the GameCube adapter option rather than emulation and it still doesn't work. Is it even possible to play with a controller on dolphin android?

Not right now. Use on-screen controls instead.

Yes, you can. The native GC adapter support is known to be somewhat broken, but this user isn't using that type of adapter, so that's not a problem.
