GameCube adapter with note 8

I can't seem to get the GameCube adapter to work. It is the official GameCube adapter. I'm did change the GameCube controller to adapter in the settings. Has anyone got it to work with the Note 8?

If your adapter have a switch, make sure to set it to "WiiU".
I've the Mayflash version and it is working with my nVidia Shield Tv, but due to a (suspected) bug in USB code it will crash after 10-15 mins of gameplay.
I've opened a ticket here if you want to keep track of it: https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/10808

@JosJuice is there any way to get a stacktrace/crash log? This might be useful to track this issue.
