What changes would be necessary for Dolphin to support the official GameCube adapter on macOS versions newer than Mojave? When Catalina came out, the Dolphin Twitter advised not updating, but they didn't specify what exactly Catalina broke.

AFAIK, the problem is with apple potentially enforcing notarization https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-ma...#pid498779
It looks like the only GC adapter hurdle is 10.11 onward. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t...phin#macOS 08-12-2020, 06:26 PM
No, there do seem to be some additional troubles with installing the kext on 10.15, or rather, keeping the kext installed across reboots. This has thus far only been documented by the Slippi team as far as I know, and I don't know the details.

The controller works and is detected, even the analog sticks by other apps. Steam, etc., but Dolphin still has an issue with Big Sur 11.x. Is there another way to tap in, even if only for the game session, load profile each session, etc.? There is a large difference in Analog support, and arrow up-down-left-right keys. Subtle movement, walking instead of running, diagonal running/jumping. Thanks! |
