Gamecube Adapter *Kind of* Working

I'm using an unofficial adapter[1] that works perfectly fine with the official Gamecube controller[2] on my Switch, but when I plug it into my Mac and try to configure my "Gamecube Adapter for Wii U," it says that no adapter is detected.

So instead, I tried the "Standard Controller" configuration, which detects all my button inputs from A to Z, but detects absolutely no Control Stick, C-Stick, or Analog L/R input.

I looked everywhere online, but no solution has worked so far. Does anyone know what I can do?

First of all, did you follow this guide: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/how-use-official-gc-controller-adapter-wii-u/#macOS

If you did and it still isn't working, did you verify that you turned off SIP before installing the new drivers?

If still yes, do you have a computer running Windows or Linux to test it with to see if it's just macOS that's being stupid?

I followed the guide completely, and verified that SIP was disabled. No dice... (I did notice that /local said SIP was disabled, but /Library and /Applications were unaffected. Not sure how to change those if that is indeed the issue)

The particular adapter I purchased says that no drivers are required, so if there's a driver that's still needed, I have no idea where I could find an appropriate one.

Using my friends Windows 10 computer everything works fine...
So, am I just bonerooni'd or is there something else I could possibly do?
