so I've been trying for about 2 hours to get my GC usb adapter to work. It shows the adapter detected but it uses keyboard controls instead for some reason. I am on Ubuntu Linux please help me

Do you have a GameCube controller plugged into port 1? (Make sure it's not port 4)
