I'm one of THOSE people, you know, the ones who register just to ask one question.

Anyway, I got a Gamecube controller and a switch adapter for my birthday (about that, since it was a gift I don't know if the adapter is official or not, I'll try to attach a picture of it if I understand how to do it)
Does it work? I hope it works

if it doesn't well it says "made in china" and there's no writing on top of it, no "nintendo" no "mayhem" it's just blank. It does have a Switch/WiiU-PC switch

Now, I followed the official guide with Zadig and everything, the driver installation went smoothly except for the fact the device wasn't called WUP-yadda yadda but simply Gamecube for Switch.

I did this twice, once about a year ago and then I gave up since it wasn't reading it, and again today, where I kinda got the same result with minor differences.

One difference was that one year ago connecting the GCN controller to the computer made the mouse go nuts, it kept disconnecting and reconnecting like a madman. Today it didn't directly disconnect, BUT it did make succesful clicking a matter of odds. Now when I click there's around a 30% chance the click won't get detected, that's weird.

As for Dolphin, when I click on the Controller settings and hit Gamecube adapter for WiiU the warning "adapter not detected" appears... If it wasn't for the fact that it flickers between detected and undetected.
Before you ask, yes the cables are stable and well attached, there's no risk there. I also tried inverting the position of the 2 USB ports of the adapter twice, no luck either.

I can't attach a video of Dolphin flickering but trust me it does.
I hope the user with the sonic profile picture helps me, they always know the best answer

This is a typical problem with adapters that aren't from Nintendo or Mayflash, and the photo does indeed look like it isn't from one of those two companies.

Ugh, that sucks, there go another 40 bucks for a proper nintendo adapter then.

Thanks
