Thanks very much, this was very illuminating. The HID report I was using was very similar; I've tried a new one based on the Mayflash one, and I'm seeing the same thing i.e. only controller 1 working properly. This means it's either the rest of my code (very likely) or a problem on OSX with multiple HID reports (much less likely, though Linux suffered a problem along these lines for a while, so not impossible).

Does the Mayflash adapter work in PC mode when attached to a Mac? Your original post seemed to suggest that you only tried it in WiiU mode. If it does, it won't appear as a GC adapter in Dolphin, but you should see it in Dolphin when you go to Controller Configuration > Port 1 > Configure in the drop-down device menu, and you should be able to bind buttons and axes as appropriate. In particular, I'm interested in if controllers 2+ work.

Thanks very much for you help again, though.

You can make buttons with controllers plugged into the other ports, but you can't use them in game and when you try testing to see if the buttons work the mapping screen shows no feedback.

Very interesting. Is the same true when you try and do the equivalent thing with the controller in PC mode when plugged into a Windows machine? i.e. don't have Dolphin identify it as an adapter, and just configure the controllers using the dialog. If the ports work correctly on Windows, it sounds like I should be investigating along the lines of something being amiss in OSX itself...

I don't have a PC, but to my knowledge if you have it plugged in under PC mode Windows tries to install it as a separate driver so I could see how the ports could work. I'll test it out on my friends laptop sometime this weekend.

Just a quick note to thank the devs here for this wonderful piece of software that lets me practice melee grinding all day at work! And also to respectfully log the need for Mac support for Official GC controller adapter. I'm sure there are many waiting for this -- any news?
