I think Mac users are going to have to wait for the Devs to have a way to fully support it in Macs before we will be able to use it.
I'm the same 'area' that's working on the adapter for OSX. As it stands, yeah, kexts are awkward to distribute on OSX - ideally, I'd distribute a signed kext, but you have to subscribe to the ADC for that, and the state of the driver is a long way from making that worthwhile. I'm hoping to get the documentation more user-friendly soon, though, so you're able to build it yourself.
In the meantime, to get the driver to that point, as you have a Mayflash adapter, I'd be very interested to see its HID descriptor when in PC mode. With my driver, only port 1 works. I think this is because of my HID descriptor, so I want to see what Mayflash have. This is easiest to do from OSX, which it sounds like you have? If you're willing to help, download USB Prober following these instructions: http://superuser.com/a/814339
Open up USB Prober, and then plug in the adapter in PC mode. Then click 'save output' and upload the text file here or elsewhere. I don't think there should be anything incriminating in it, other than us maybe being able to work out what sort of Mac you're running! If you're concerned, then figure out which device is the adapter (it's the one that appears in USB Prober when you plug the adapter in), and delete everything else.
