How about we stay at present and discuss the GOTY of 2011?
Quote:Duke Nukem Forever being the game of the year 2011Being your GOTY perhaps. Your nostalgia blinded you in your selection. I can't imagine it ever getting a GOTY ever after being worked on for 15 years and not delivering what was promised.
The true games that deserve to have a GOTY award are:
(in no particular order)
Batman Arkham City
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Skyrim
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
The Witcher 2
That's all I can think off right now...

What the??? Speak for yourselves dudes, speak for yourselves.
As Daco said, it delivered just what it promised. And Duke Nukem Forever was everything I wanted it to be from a game I have waited for since it's announcement the 28th of April 1997 when I was 11 years old.
The game was released last June (2011 obviously) and have just as much right being one of the GOTY titles in my book then any of the other games/titles being mentioned here.
F*peep*
And what's up with all the nonsense getting back on topic and staying in the present?
Again DNF was released 2011, I think it deserves being GOTY because yeah obviously it's a little sentimental and nostalgic. Shit not even Skyward Sword was this epic.
I'm outta here.
