I just noticed that dolphin emu provides the ability to configure the game itself. Does this really affect the performance? I read and watched only the configuration for graphics, audio and certain plugins, but there's no info about the game specific settings.

The description from "enable mmu", "enable bat" and "accurate vb emulation" states that turning it off gives faster performance. Is this noticeable?

Yes for example some games can't start without MMU. For specific settings they're often given on thread dedicated to the game itself but if you don't find it you can always ask to see if someone answers...

I see. Thank you. I will disable those three for every game so I can get faster performance and re-enable them if problem occurs.

Sometimes some games have these options checked by default so don't be surprised

And what does Enable Block Merging means? They say it's a speed boost for some games for 4-5 fps but also causes 10 fps drop for others.

Well I made a thread not very long time ago about this because I didn't see the use of it (none of my games needs it so I've never used it) and it seems to be useful for some games yes but I can't tell you more about this sorry Big Grin

Games which don't need those options already have them disabled by default, so you don't need to uncheck them for each game (hint: and you really shouldn't!). The only thing which you might want to try is toggling the accurate vb emulations, iirc sometimes it speeds up stuff but sometimes it slows down the game..
