Thumbs Up
OK, in the latest build I've got Mario Kart Wii running perfectly, with full speed and no errors, even on an AMD cpu! Granted, my machine is a decent machine, but up to now I haven't got full performance out of this game.

Using r6703, My settings are thus:

Check Enable Dual Core Check Enable Idle Skipping Uncheck Enable Cheats

Framlimit Auto and Check Use FPS for limiting

Check Skip GC BIOS

JIT Recompiler

Uncheck other boxes.

Then in the Graphics Plugin, select DirectX 9 and:

Aspect Ratio Auto Uncheck Widescreen Hack and V-sync.

Anisotropic 1x Anti Aliasing None

Uncheck all boxes in enhancements.

Uncheck all boxes in EFB and set Scale to Integral.

Under Copy check Enable and Texture.

Uncheck Enable in Accurate texture cache.

Under Advanced only check: Disable Lighting Disable Fog Show FPS Enable OpenCL

Uncheck everything else.

This will give you full constant 60 FPS in all but the menus on a system like:

Phenom II x4 B55 3.23 GHZ 2.0 GB ram with Nvidia 9600 GT.

uuh...yeah, I guess for game settings for Mario Kart Wii only disabling fog is important (also only for nvidia users, though); but I think there's no option for that, anyway.

Mario Kart Wii needs fog disabled and emulate format changes to be disabled also using the latest rev. For fog to be disabled is already suggested at the emulation issues of the game. Disabling emulate format changes isn't, but the issue is known for nvidia cards and might be fixed (look here). It also cripples speed with the game, so maybe it is good to disable it one way or another, still i will probably wait a bit before changing it since it might be fixed.

Yeah, Emulate Format Change totally kills my performance in this game. (I don't think I got glitches, though)

Zelda Wind Waker has the ZTP bloom projection hack enabled which is doesn't seem to need and which only produces glitches...so disable that, please.

Don't enable the mmu speed hack for eternal darkness. It slows it down and is not needed. These settings are wrong and are bringing up issues.

it seems that for fatal frame 4 you need to enable "cpu-efb access" in order to overcome some parts of the game specially the piano ones, and the slowdowns it causes if any is not so much noticeable anyway

The above will be fixed by the next Dolphin rev that has a couple of updates for Mario Kart (Wii and Gc), Medabots, Super Mario Galaxy and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance too.

I don't want to say that some users are better than others, but to just take what everyone says as "the right settings" could be a bad idea since not everyone knows what they're doing.
