Splinter Cell (GC)
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (GC) Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (GC) Splinter Cell Double Agent (GC) These 4 games need Jitil and MMU Speed Hack (confirmed with 3.0)

[GC] Splinter Cell works fine with JIT with both mmu options.
This is why adding settings because some user says they're right is a bad idea. There is no telling how many other wrong settings are in place now. This is not directed at anyone specific.

Generalizations are not helpful/useful, try to tell how many and which settings of the database are wrong or outdated in order to be fixed. Btw your example is not that good really either (cpu engine like jitil is not a per game configurable option anyway, it can't be enforced even if you want to, just suggested). And Lord Vader thanks for the help but please try to confirm each case separately, just because games are under the same series doesn't mean they need the same settings. For example only the first Prince of Persia game needs real xfb for videos to display, the others don't . If you use Jitil you can use MMU SH alone the result is : your game is faster. Moreover the sound tends to be better this way (10-29-2011, 05:15 PM)Link_to_the_past Wrote:(10-29-2011, 08:31 AM)[SS] Starscream Wrote: [GC] Splinter Cell works fine with JIT with both mmu options. I tried with the 4 games separately of course. I tried Jit/Jitil. With or without MMU/MMU SH/both. Using Jitil allows you to use MMU SH alone as I said above so games start (first important thing) and are faster (5/10 fps). The sound is better too (don't know why). Without Jitil games tend to hang (no crashes btw)

Scooby Doo Unmasked (GC) needs MMU Speed Hack ticked and DSP LLE otherwise it will freeze up on the intro screen (you can bypass it by pressing A button quickly)

That's what you're supposed to be doing, before you add them. It doesn't matter that in this case there is no option to change, the point was that if it was possible, it would have been changed based on one persons testing and would have been wrong. These settings get added and commits are made after just one user tells you that the settings are good, I think just a bit more testing and care needs to go into this before you force everyone to possibly use the wrong settings.

Everything i commit is tested for a long time now. And yet again you are :
a) Making assumptions. b) Add nothing of value. Suggesting that the database is a mess without backing it up or helping fixing it. Constructive criticism is useful, but i don't see that in this case, sorry. 10-30-2011, 12:53 AM

No one is making assumptions, there have been many settings added in the past that had to be removed and I'm not about to go through all of the games you've added since then. Telling you to not take one users word for a setting is all the value you need. Just be sure the setting is needed before you add it, that's more than fair.

Now Medabots Infinity run if MMU Speed Hack is checked. This is needed for balloon bombs or the game crashes.
