Game Runs WAAAAAY too slow

So I got this software a while ago and I have parental controls so I can't download gamebooster every time I try to play any game it goes down to 50% unless I'm inside something then it goes to 100% then when I go in the menu it goes up to 200% IDK what's going on I would like it to stay 100% all the time so I can play my favorite childhood games without me getting pissed off this computer can play up to Battlefield 3 and it is also custom made so it can't be that my computer is bad it has to do with the emulator. If someone helps me out that would be very kind. Thank you.

The reason why games are running WAAAAAY too slow is due to the fact that your CPU is WAAAAAY too slow. Your AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ is pretty outdated (circa '06). It's simply not going to cut it for Dolphin. Gamebooster won't help you much either, so don't worry about that.

Additionally note, emulators are very different beasts from PC games. PC games use your hardware's resources in different manner than an emulator does. They may both "run games", but underneath, they're accomplishing that in their own way. PC gaming performance often doesn't translate well into Dolphin performace. You could OC your current CPU, but you're probably due for a hardware update by now. If you have a list of games you're trying to play, a budget, and other conditions (must use the same socket or mobo, must keep GPU but update CPU, must only buy from Brand XYZ, etc), we can help find you new hardware.

Protip: When talking about Dolphin (or PCSX2, or bsnes's accuracy core), this statement is almost never correct. Your computer is *never* as fast as you think it is.
