I'm sorry if there's already a thread like this; I don't know. Ok, I played New Super Mario Bros. Wii on the Dolphin emulator and it runs great at 60 fps with Anti-Aliasing @ 9x SSAA and Anisotropic Filtering @ 16x. When I try to record in Fraps, I record at 30 fps, but when I record at 30, the game seems to be going in slow motion. It's as if you had a video that goes at 30 fps, but you slow it down by half; it seems to run smooth, but in slow motion. I have Dolphin version 3.5 x86. I'm new to this emulator, so I don't know if there's a certain settings or feature I clicked on that's causing this. I've played a lot of games at 30 fps and it was not in slow motion. I will provide a video if you guys need one.

System Specs:

AMD Athlon II X3 455
Radeon HD 5770
1 X 4GB RAM @ 1600
Windows Vista 32bit SP2 (Dolphin version 3.5 x86)

Depending on the game
_ NTSC version is either 30 FPS or 60 FPS
_ PAL : 25 or 50 FPS

For Example : "The Last Story , XenoBlade , Pandora Tower" - NTSC version are 30 FPS games and Mario Galaxy - PAL version is 50 FPS game
Game developer decide this , nothing to do with the emulator

admin89 I do not think that is the issue. Sounds like fraps is showing the video in slowmo probably because 30fps is considered half speed for New Super Mario Bros. Not sure if there is a way of getting fraps to record at 60fps or not as I have never used the software.

There is option in fraps that throttles fps to specific value. Default value is 30. You need to change it.
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX660 (proprietary nvidia driver v.358.16)
RAM: 2 x 4G DDR3 1333 MHz
OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64 (linux 4.3)
I'm using latest version of Dolphin-emu from git master branch.

Just set the number to any value . I always choose 60FPS or 80FPS (depending on the game).
Athlon CPU is slow , i believe he won't be able to record NSMB full speed all the time unless he overclock his CPU

Set a const FPS in fraps wouldn't skip frames, it would slow down the drawings. But the game expects 60 fps, so you either have to record at 60 fps, or set frameskip to 1, or configure fraps to dump only every second frame (is this possible?).
