So I'm using 3.5-2196 and in the Game properties, there are the checkboxes with a check option an empty option and some bullet point option.

I'm pretty sure that the empty one means off, but what does if the difference between the bullet point and the checkboxes?

The check image (PROBABLY) means that the option(s) can be used any time during the emulation, and the bullet spot image means that the function SHOULD be used always in the emulation.

Hope this helps...

DJBarry004: Not exactly.

There are three things at work here.

*Global settings - Filled in box
*On Override- Checked Box
*Off Override - Empty box

Global settings are the settings used in the rest of the emulator. For example, turn on Dual Core in the configuration options, and with a filled in box the game will use dual core. Turn off dual core in the main config options and it will be off for the game. If you check or blank an option in a games properties window, then it doesn't matter what you use in the main configuration, the game will use either off or on as you set it there.

Hi,

sorry to dig up this old Thread, but one question for clarification:
If i manually define all the settings (Also the ones in the properties window) in the game.ini, the boxes in the properties window should be - off- Override (empty box) ?
correct ?

No. None of the settings will be filled in boxes, but whether they will be checked boxes or empty boxes depends on what you've set them to in the game INI.

I already mentioned this, but we have specific rules about necroposting. If you have a question, the best option is not to revive an old thread. Make a new one and people will help you with your issue or question. We prohibit necroposting because often it clutters up old threads (via hijacking), people respond to outdated information or try to answer a question that was asked years ago, and for the simple fact new threads are much more visible than older threads (so you get more attention and therefore more help).
