Which two cpus are you talking about exactly. I see a 4170 barely beating a 3220 both at a $125 pricepoint.

This one made me laugh. Ill get to why in a moment. First of all that's not something to get too excited about. It's a benchmark to show the multi threaded performance of a cpu. There really isn't much reason to run this bench on a dual core processor except to place it on a list. There is no i3 on there because it is irrelevant. Most people don't buy dual core processors to get highly multi threaded performance. Also, and why it made me laugh, it is the same benchmark as the first pic you posted just with less processors on it. Notice how the scores are the same for the processors that are listed. So there being no core i3 on it is even more meaningless.

Where did you find this benchmark. There are several different versions of the x264 benchmark but all the ones I've seen show the 3570 slightly beating the 8150. Regardless the fact that an 8 core cpu isn't absolutely stomping a quad core cpu in a benchmark that has been shown to scale to multiple cores exceptionally well is quite telling. Add to that the higher power requirements and that $40 is probably negligible.

If however a user wants to encode x264 video and run benchmarks amd cpus are quite competitive. The fx 6300 is quite competitive in its price range regardless of what the user wants to do though it uses more power and isn't as good at gaming, especially dolphin. All this is kind of a mute point though since the original topic was about getting better performance in dolphin. To that end, as already stated, Intel beats Amd at every price point.

Hi everyone. I am new to these forums, but I have used Dolphin before, and I would appreciate if someone could help me out.

I am trying to emulate Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut for Gamecube, and the Opening Video, title screen, memory card menu, and Main Menu's run fine at Full 50-60 FPS. When I press the Adventure Mode button, it immediately cuts down to about 60% or less speed and the animations lag and sometimes the audio even cuts out.
Here are the full specifications of my laptop:
CPU: Intel Core i3-2330M CPU 4 CORE's @ 2.20 Ghz with 2 logical threads per core
RAM: Samsung, 6144 MB (6.14 GB)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000 2 GB Video Memory
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate/Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (Multi-Partitioned), both x64 architectures
HD: 500 GB (Multi-Partitioned) TOSHIBA MK6475GSX

Are these good enough specifications to run Sonic Adventure DX on Native 1x Resolution with Dual Core and Idle Skipping? Should I have Framelimit Off?
Thank you.

Really? That is surprising, especially since the CPU Hierarchy shows my CPU as being Good for emulating. I appreciate the fast response though, but that's weird considering I run Guild Wars 2 fine. However I understand that emulating requires far more resources because there are way more clock cycles?

i3 3220 @ 3.3GHz is good but your CPU is not a desktop CPU. Not even an i7 @ 2.2GHz could run most games full speed
Clock speed does matter man !
Even if your laptop maxed out Skyrim , it does not mean your laptop could run dolphin well
PC games -> GPU
Emulation -> CPU
Besides , you should know integrated GPU is not recommended for gaming
