1) Use this build
2) Add the necessary patch (dword type; 804167B8 for the offset; 3F600000 for the value)
3) Enable the VBeam speed hack

The game is much smoother at 60 FPS, and it's quite the looker when paired with 2560x1440 and 4xSSAA! Enjoy!

Also, for note, this build is not intended for use in other games! Using this for games outside of Super Mario Sunshine with the 60 FPS hack would not yield a pleasant gameplay experience.

I was unable to download this. When I click download and try to extract the zip, every file (except the folders and some random PNG) all come up with an error stating: Unknown method in (filename here). I've tried saving it to my dropbox as well, extracting it to other locations in case it was an administrative issue but no luck :/

**Edit**
Nevermind. I fixed it. Had to update WinRAR. Also got the x64 bit version (not sure if I had it)

**Edit #2**
Launching Super Mario Sunshine with the 60 FPS patch, locking it into 120 FPS framelimit, and using Kodiack's recompiled dolphin version did not work. Not only is it still high pitched, but it is also very jittery now as if it was set to OpenAL on the default dolphin version (but also high pitched now).

**Edit #3** Nevermind. I fixed it again. I enabled vbeam (right click game > properties > make sure VBeam Speed Hack is a checkmark, not a box) for sure and set the framelimit to auto. Using XAudio2, the less smooth 60FPS patch, and Kodiack's dolphin recompile

This looks like it's going to be fun! Now if only we could invert the spraying controls.. xD

I followed this and got it working Big Grin (On Kodiack's recompile)

By the way JMC47; superfunny to have all those "hidden" games linked in the article Big Grin

Trying some subliminal messaging there huh? Wink

Edit: I'm talking about the following passage:
"With these four games brought up to 60 FPS, it can only make people wonder if other titles could be brought to 60 FPS in a similar way. Think about all of the seminal titles with huge, sprawling worlds that could be made more beautiful with an even better framerate. Anyone can experiment, dig around and try things as long as they have the game. Do note that reverse engineering chops may be needed for some games more than others."

I too am surprised this thread has not produced a multitude of patches for the GC catalog in the last few weeks.

I think the fact is that the ones that have been produced just took a lot of work and it's harder than anyone realizes to make 60 FPS patches.

Also, it sucks a bit to have to have a special build for every 60-patch-game (I don't know if that Double Video Rate Hack in Ishiiruka's game properties only works for SMS or other games as well).

It's not that, if the hacks were done properly they'd work on console even (save for slowdown due to console not being able to handle it.) We want that; then use Dolphin to overclock it.

I keep coming back to the thread for this and Xenoblade.

For me, those are the twin grails of this 60fps business.

Crossing my fingers that this picks up soon!  Smile
