You mean e.g. this one, right? 0x804167B8:dword:0x3F600000 - Slightly slower 60 FPS Patch, but runs perfectly.
I did that, enabled it, enabled cheats and enabled VBeam Speed Hack. What else am I missing? I got framelimiter at 'auto'; is that right?

What version of Super Mario Sunshine are you using? This is for NTSC; and it has to be a good dump.

I've compiled a build with the needed change if anyone wants to try it out! To get the 60 FPS working in Super Mario Sunshine:

1) Use this build
2) Add the necessary patch (dword type; 804167B8 for the offset; 3F600000 for the value)
3) Enable the VBeam speed hack

The game is much smoother at 60 FPS, and it's quite the looker when paired with 2560x1440 and 4xSSAA! Enjoy!

Also, for note, this build is not intended for use in other games! Using this for games outside of Super Mario Sunshine with the 60 FPS hack would not yield a pleasant gameplay experience.

Aaah, with your build it works for me, Kodiack! Smile
So it doesn't work with master or what? Or just for some?

Correct, it doesn't work with master since it requires a small modification to an integer in SystemTimers.cpp. There's some information regarding it at the bottom of the article. This sort of thing could trivially be made into an option for 60 FPS hacks, but it's so hack-y and has such limited potential at the moment that it almost definitely just isn't worth it.

Oh, ok. I guess for normal users it should be made a bit more clear in the article that this cannot be done with a normal Dolphin build; maybe plus a link to your build.

I don't want to link to a custom build. I think I made it clear that it was a dolphin patch in the article.

Thinking about it though... there's game patches and Dolphin patches. Maybe a third version of the patch can patch audio too?

Maybe it's just me but I didn't understand from the article that another build would have to be used (and when you show cool stuff to people they WILL ask for that build Wink ). I thought with 'patch' you meant that 'dword type: 804167B8 for the offset; 3F600000 for the value' thingy because it's also called 'patch' in Dolphin; I guess that's what you now meant with 'game patch'.

@Kodiack: Does the patch do something that could break (normal ingame) saving? Or am I the only one having that issue?
