Just need an audio plugin fix.

Anyone have any ideas I would appreciate it.

There are great codes in that thread! For example the code for slowing down time in Zelda OOT, and the 60fps codes for Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. If only someone could port those to Dolphin. And the Mario Kart 64 60fps patch too.

I should try doing it myself someday.

Is it still possible to get 60fps working properly on mario sunshine?

I found https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2015/02/07/game-modification-60-fps-hacks yesterday and tried to get it set up but quickly discovered the vbeam speed hack was removed from dolphin.

That page mentions at the very bottom that it still works just by setting the framelimit to 120, but doing so makes my audio really fast. Is there a working solution somewhere or do i need to find an ancient dolphin build to make this work?

If you want to hack the audio to sound correct, you need to use an old Dolphin build or Ishiiruka. I suggest that you use Ishiiruka because the old Dolphin versions aren't being maintained anymore.

Under the audio section in the settings there should be a Audio Stretch or time stretch option(can't remember what it was called), just click that, it should fix your audio issues

Hmm, thats the first thing I tried. It makes lots of crackling and popping and high pitch noises when i turn it on, and from what little i can recognize i think its still fast

No, not time-stretching.
Right-click the game, then go to game properies. Under patches, if there's no 60FPS-Patch, yet, add one: type: DWORD, Offset: 804167B8, Value: 3F600000
Check that patch when it's done. Then you also need to go to the GameConfig tab and check the Double-Video-Rate-Hack... and then, don't forget to check Enable Cheats in the Dolphin Config.

Thats strange, that double video rate hack was actually checked by default. I unchecked it and tested but didn't see a change, so i checked it again and now it seemed to work. Only problem is I apparently cant hold 60fps in sms with a 4790k and gtx980. It stays around 45-50 and the music sounds slow and stuttery.

I figured I might be wasting my time, so I tried to reverse the process. Now the game seems broken and plays at double speed even with all default settings, and 60fps patch removed. I even deleted the GMSE01.ini in the GameSetting dir, but still double speed. I switched back to dolphin and double checked all the settings were default and it still plays sms at double speed. (only sms)

Does the double video rate hack actually make changes to the rom? If not is there some config file I'm missing?

EDIT: Nevermind, Im stupid. When I undid the framelimit 120 thing the other day I had set it to off instead of auto. It didn't make a difference in wii games so I assumed it was only sms that was fast, but upon further testing it turns out all my gamecube games were running double speed. I switched it back to auto and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the help guys.
