I was playing a Gamecube game, and then the game simply stopped progressing. The game didn't freeze, stop or crash. A character just finished his line of dialogue and then nothing happened. The sprites kept moving, everything looked normal. I waited for 15 minutes to no avail. Is this a usual problem? Is this a problem with the game (and thus I should take my question elsewhere)? I just don't know what to do.

Also, if I broke any rules by making this post, please tell me so I can correct myself. And thank you.

I was playing Paper Mario, Thousand Year Door. I'm using Dolphin 5.0. What confuses me most is that my friend that gave me the ROM was much farther into the game then me, he gave me the ROM via Flash Drive and then I try to play it. It's the same file, but I can't get 15 minutes into the game without Dr. Gooba (I think it's actually Dr. Woom or something) saying "I'll bet you didn't know this came off!" and then... he doesn't do anything. The board doesn't come off. Game over.

I've tried everything I could think of to make it work. I started the game over, I changed my controls, I made the game in a different save slot. Nothing worked, it just always stopped at that same dumb cutscene. Please help!

Global Forum Rules Wrote:Warez/downloading games talk is prohibited and frowned upon. To prevent legal issues, you may not post links or refer to any kind of NAND, BIOS, ISO, game, or other copyrighted material that has been illegally obtained or shared. If any post like that is found, the thread containing it will be closed and further support will be revoked. Stating that you've downloaded a game will get you banned immediately, no matter if you purchased the game or not. Asking where to find or download games will get you banned immediately. Providing where to download games will get you banned immediately. You must legally dump/rip your own games, NAND, BIOS, etc.

Technically you didn't download the game, but you still obtained a copy of someone else's disc. You need to obtain your own disc and dump it yourself.
