Hi, I have a GC game (Pokemon Box PAL version) that don't start with the new version 4.0-7207, but it works good with the old version 3.5. When I click to play it on 4.0 it appear a box that say: "Invalid read from 0x--------, PC = 0x--------." When I close the box it appears a new box like the older but with new numbers after the x, so I have to close Dolphin with "Windows management activities" (I don't know if this translation is correct)
Why does it happen, and can I do something? Recently I found lots of bugs with GC games, like game saves that get corrupted using Save states.. I hope all this bugs will be removed in the future.

I doubt this is valid. It's probably saying there are invalid reads because you have a bad game dump. Savestates corrupt GC memory cards because the pokemon games check to make sure people aren't save scumming/copying memory cards to duplicate pokemon.

A properly dumped pokemon box disc will work in latest master.

Thanks for the answer, but if the case is that the game is bad dumped, why does it work on 3.5 version of Dolphin?

Because 3.5 isn't as accurate and likely ignore the disc read errors.

Right click on the game in Dolphin's games list, and open its properties window. In there somewhere there's a button to compute the md5 hash.
