I'm trying to play Dokapon Kingdom with my friend on net play , net play works perfectly however it doesn't support wiimotes and i cant get donkapon kingdom to work with GCpad at all weather in netplay or just running the game locally, is there anyway to force detect the game-cube controller ? any advice is appreciated.

thank you

According to the wiki, the game has support for the GameCube Controller. Does your GCpad configuration work in other games?

yea i tried both super smash brothers brawl and melee as well as mario kart all work with GC pad

EDIT: i think i've figured it out unfortunately however it doesn't help me for netplay, i popped my real copy into my wii and it seems like u need to have the wiimote connected until u get in game and the you can use GCpad on ur actual wii so im assuming that its hard coded into the rom and until netplay has wimmote support i wont be able to play with my friend overseas.
