Game Crashes When Flicking Wiimote

I'll admit first I'm not much of a tech-y guy.

I managed to connect my wiimote and nunchuck to Dolphin with no problem. I didn't set up the IR (which I think is something to do with the balance board?) but it didn't really matter as I didn't need that for the game I was playing (Twilight Princess).

In the game it is required for you to flick the wiimote upwards when fishing. I had no problem with this normally, but at a certain scene where it should trigger Link catching a fish, Dolphin immediately crashed.

Can anyone help me with this? I'm new to dolphin and only downloaded it today.

Since you downloaded the latest version of Dolphin, this might be caused by a bad dump. Can you post the MD5 hash of your game? (In the main Dolphin window, right click on the game, then Properties)

No, the IR bar is for the Wii Remote's pointer, which Twilight Princess uses. That's not what's causing your crash, though.

Sorry, I'm not entirely sure where exactly to right click? There's no  mention of the game in the main dolphin window, and in the game window itself right-clicking does nothing.

(I've attached a picture of the dolphin windows I have open)

In that case, you first have to click on "browse" then add the directory which contains your game image.

I was still a little unsure how to do this as I only had the iso and that was unclickable, but I did download a program called ff_md5drop which allowed me to access the md5 and it is as follows:

FC:FD:75:7C:01:3A:29:05:C6Big GrinA:FC:FD:45:55:BC:67

Edit: Between C6 and A there is a : and a D which the text recognises as a Big Grin

Okay, so FCFD757C013A2905C6DAFCFD4555BC67. That doesn't match any MD5 I can find, so either you need to redump the game or the MD5 is calculated wrong.

When adding directories to Dolphin, you can only select directories, not files. Once you've selected a directory, all files that are in it will show up in Dolphin's game list.

Okay, thanks for the help! Smile
