Hello and this is my first post so sorry if I write nooby comments. I have a problem with Dolphin 3.5 on Mac. Originally when i got Dolphin, it worked decently but didn't run games very well. I then fidgeted with the settings until i got what i wanted. I then found out that in Mariokart: Double Dash!! the song wouldn't play after the second lap. So I then downloaded the stuff I needed to and got LLE to work. But the sound wasn't working correctly so I used regular HLE instead. After that I noticed that my games weren't working right. They would boot up and show the Nintendo logo. Then they would show all the other logos like they should. But right before it goes to the "Press Start" screen the game would crash. After that no matter which sound I use the game would keep cutting off the sound 1 second at a time and then working for 1 second in a pattern. I then deleted the files for sound i added and changed the settings back to default and it didn't do anything! Please help!

Post your Dolphin settings, preferably as screenshots. You said you messed with them so that may be the issue. If we could take a lot, we might spot something causing you trouble.

Update: It has gotten worse. It now won't even start. It immediately crashes.
![]() I can't seem to find any more info on the processor but it is a non-retina macbook pro 2012 05-13-2013, 05:33 AM
Try using the latest revision, it may help you out. Download it here: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
lugia56 Wrote:Cache display lists ... checked That's a very good way to get frequent crashes. This option rarely boosts speed for me, and it often crashes Dolphin without warning. Disable it straightaway :p Btw, it's useless to have both OpenCL and OpenMP enabled for texture decoding. Only one will be used (OpenCL) when both are selected, and OpenCL has never (to my knowledge) resulted in a speedup. lugia56 Wrote:the external frame buffer is on virtual It shouldn't be on for a vast majority of games. Make sure that the External Frame Buffer is set to "Disabled" lugia56 Wrote:dump EFB target is checked This option has been broken for a while. It's useless to keep it on, and it's for debugging/developmental purposes anyway. Try changing the above while using the latest revision and see if that does anything for you.
I updated now and it fixed some of the problems. Games that aren't made by nintendo run correctly but all games made by nintendo stop right before the press start screen now. With HLE sound it makes a crackling sound and with LLE the sound keeps turning on and of repeatedly.
Wait, make the comment i made last opposite. Most games run fine but games like The Simpsons Hit and run don't, and that is why I changed the settings originally. |
