Hey guys,

So i'm sure most everyone has noticed the FPS rate in games like mario kart wii have gone to hell. I would assume this is just an emulation thing and blah blah blah. However, i was told to try a much earlier emulation version and mario kart ran much smoother. My question is what screwed this up? And is anything being done to try to get the old FPS rate (or better) for newer builds or is that not really being worked on? I have done all of the option/GFX changing that can be done and the older versions before ~6582 have been great on FPS. So i just don't get it. Thanks though. Once again NOT complaining or anything like that i get it is emulation just curious if this is being worked on or not. Thanks

I think it depends on that they're trying to focus on accuracy and stability nowdays.

But they are working on this project everyday so until the next release where most of the issues have been fixed, you can always use the second best thing, the super stable 2.0 release.

It may be a little old now but it's not really bad at all, I have been using it all the time since last year and I have rarely had any issues with the emulation.

Most of the changes that have improved accuracy at the cost of performance have been made optional. The only reason things are so slow rights now is because of a few stupid commits that will eventually be fixed. Just be patient.
