Specs:

Intel Pentium CPU G630 @ 2.70GHz dual core
Nvidia gt430 4Gb vid memory
8GB RAM
----
Like it says when I go full screen the frames drop to below 20 and the games become unplayable. Animal Crossing is the only game that doesn't lag full screen.

When I enlarge the window everything is fine its only when I go full screen via options or whatever. The resolution is lower than my internal which is pretty high (31" monitor...) And it helped a small bit but not enough.

Also perhaps unrelated but Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance is completely unplayable at any time. The frames are constant below 15. Any thoughts?

Have you tried the latest dev build from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ (4.0-5991 as of writing)

I think your CPU is too weak for dolphin, that would be my first guess but I am not an expert so I'll let someone else chime in.

It's a Sandy-bridge CPU. It should be able to handle most of the lightweight and lower-end medium games.

@LolSheeps, can you post pictures of your Config and Graphics tabs?
(And try out the latest dev build)

Thanks for the answers! No I am not using the most up-to-date revision, I've only downloaded the core emulator (4.0.2) but I will try it and update you. As for my config/graphics set up, here's a picture. I've been able to play PS2 emulator and games perfectly fine, and to me those would need a stronger PC but I'm a n00b so I'm probably missing something.

It depends on what games you're playing. What are you trying to play, anyways? I can think of several that wouldn't perform well on your system and would cause CPU bottleneck.
Arch
Intel Core i7 - 4510U
iHD4400
8GB RAM
